"Do you want to see something scary?"

I just hate when he comes to me with that greeting.

Today was a busy Monday.  The bug man came (it's a southern thing) he sprayed the dog pen area to help out the poor pooches.

After that we started on the screen porch.  There is a leak from the roof that was poorly fixed.  No wait,  scratch that.  I can't even use the word fix.  Anyway,  John cut the ceiling out of the screen porch to find bare wires.  (it's a old house thing) not quite the find an electrician like to come across.  But at least we know it's there and we, I mean he,  can fix it.

Our next task was to open the entry door that was put on backwards,  or inside-out, or what ever.  It must have been done that way because of the lack of space.  It's the entry to the upstairs bedroom,  the downstairs bedroom and the living room.  So we're talking at 34" by 60" hallway enterance.  We're talking three doors banging into each other. The whole area it terribly awkward.  We're thinking it was an earlier addition gone wild.

The door matches the front door except the decorative trim was on the inside, the hinges were on the outside. A burglar would just have to remove the pins from the hinges,  take the door off and enter in . . . or so we thought.  We banged on those hinges, the door wouldn't budge.  Unfortunately the deadbolt from the old skeleton key was locked and there wasn't a key. Kepper and I sat at the top of the stairs and watched.  Once he cut through the deadbolt the door popped open.

Success!
