There was an original doorway in the kitchen pantry the guys opened up. The pantry was beyond scary. The old lady left me a pair of her underware hanging on a nail. Clean or not, I mean, REALLY?
They removed the old water heater and covered up the vent from the old heating system. It's different down here they would put in an air handler that heated and air conditioned the house. We were told by someone from a heating company it would have cost around $700-$800 a month to heat the whole house. They're not efficient at temperatures below 35 degrees. So homes are heated by gas furnaces in each room. But that's a whole other blog.

The guys made us a bookcase that will close up the old opening. We plan to recess the refrigerator in the pantry and close it up with a cookbook bookcase.
