The angel was spinning today. She was left behind for us. I'm sure there has to be more than one around this place.
It was a busy day at the old homestead. We worked on the porch. It's probably the main reason I became interested in this place. Unfortunately age and rot has over taken the porch. There was a tattered blue carpet piece that covered a hole on the entry of the porch. This is what we found. We're lucky no one fell through.
We worked until dark but it looks great.
Once you start this type of repair you just have to keep going.
This part will wait until tomorrow.
The plumbers came today, so I stayed in the kitchen with the dogs and made peanut butter cookies. They removed the old log fireplace and replaced it with a new one. Kepper got to sniff it out after they left. He wasn't to sure.
Now to wait for cold weather.

hahaha it's one of those areas of the house where the further you uncover the more time you'll be demo-ing.
