3 MONTHS BEING HERE
The killing of the wires was because the wires went to places that could not be discovered. The best thing to do was to kill the power all together in those wires and rewire, i.e. fish new wires to either the outlet or the overhead lights. The attic use to have squirrels living in it and we have come to wonder if the bare wires are because of them nibbling on them. You would think we would find their little corpses lying around.

So today, being a nice day of almost 70 degrees we worked outside. I did a little painting of some bead board to put up in the hallway of the laundry room area and John went out to cut down some trees. This one he leaned on, it fell right over! I wish I had taken a video of it it was pretty funny. Then he cut down the multiple small bushes next to it because they were saplings growing out of the dead tree that use to be there.
This is the Magnolia tree at the north end of the property. It's the one I usually sit and look at while I have my morning coffee in the den.
Another wonder of Georgia is the thick vines that grow and wrap themselves around fences and trees. This one he cut at the ground level and pulled it out of the top of a tree using the tow hitch on the back of the van.
It's a little hard to see but the rest is still up in the tree.

Now back to my beginning comments in this posting, killing live wires, before we even knew the condition of the wiring in the attic and throughout the ceiling and walls, John say this . . .
These are bare wires that came from the house across the overhang parking to the garage/shed to this structure where someone had dogs. (we've torn down quite a bit of the ghetto dog bnb) The first thing John noticed was not only were the wires just that, wire but they were live. So is someone had walked under with a metal rake or whatever they would have been shocked. It just seems everywhere we turn this property needs something.
A wise young sage asked me after we got here, "would you ever buy something sight unseen again?" Well, daughter, the answer is, "no."
