We were supposed to take our long overdue errand to Statesboro to go to Lowe's instead we stayed home. Today was the last day of raking the back yard. John felt quite accomplished when a man drove by and told him how nice it was to see the yard finally cleaned up and how great it looked.
Proverbs 25:11 "a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver."
Speaking of "shiny" things . . . the other accomplishment of the day was changing out the last of the old wiring. It was to the overhead light in the living room. The room we use as our bedroom. This is the old one we took down. I wish I'd have taken a picture of it while it was up but he had already started the process.
This is the new. It is a chandelier that has been in a box for years. It was given to dad when he went to Houston when his mom died. It was in her shop. We are honored to hang it.
