I checked out RETURN TO THE WILLOWS by Jacqueline Kelly. It has terrific illustrations by Clint Young. I haven't read it yet.
Now I must confess I've never read THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, written by Kenneth Grahame. I started it, but that's quite common with me with many things. So, before reading, RETURN TO THE WILLOWS, I decided to start at the beginning.
So I went to the library and got a copy. I've been reading it the last week. Its amazing writing. I can understand how it stood the test of time.
It made be think about the animal's Thanksgiving and a story I need to tell about it.
